Not All Softness Is Created Equal.
- Most baby essentials are made from bamboo — a fabric that sounds natural, but is chemically processed before it ever touches your baby's skin. We looked at what was available and decided to go a different direction.
- Peruvian Pima cotton is one of the world's finest natural fibers. It grows without harsh chemicals, gets softer with every wash, and carries GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and Regenerative Organic certifications — because your baby lives in this fabric, and that standard matters.
A Note from Katie
I started August & Ivy because I couldn't find a bag that worked for real life with a newborn. When it came time to build the collection, I applied the same standard — if it didn't feel exceptional, we weren't going to make it.
Pima cotton wasn't the easiest choice. It took longer to source, longer to certify, and longer to get right. But I have three daughters, and I know exactly what I wanted next to their skin. That's what every piece in this collection is made from.
